Terms and Conditions
The Resident/s acknowledges the following will apply to this application:-
1. This application applies only to the pet listed and named on this application. A separate application must be submitted for each pet. No visiting pets will not be permitted without prior Body Corp Committee consent.
2. Prior written approval must be given by the apartment owner (if applicable) and a copy provided with this application. (Crown Apartments Body Corp Committee approval is not guaranteed)
3. The Resident/s shall be liable for any damage or injury whatsoever caused by the pet.
4. The Resident/s accepts full responsibility and indemnifies the Crown Apartments Body Corporation and its representatives for any claims by or injuries to third parties or their Property caused by, or as a result of actions by their pet.
5. The Resident/s are required to ensure that the approved pet is registered with the Mackay Regional Council (or if visiting – relevant council) and all relevant local, state and federal laws relating to the keeping of animals are complied with at all times.
6. The Resident/s agrees to arrange for professional Flea Fumigation at the end of the tenancy (if applicable) or at a time during the tenancy as required or requested by the Crown Apartments Body Corp Committee to be carried out by a Company complying with Australian Standards.
7. When an entry to the apartment is to be conducted for inspection or when work is to be carried out by a Crown Apartments Body Corp representative, all pet must be restrained at all times.
8. All pets must NOT be on common areas except whilst being conveyed from vehicles to their apartment or entering or exiting the building and must be suitably restrained to prevent escape under all circumstances.
9. Where applicable each pet must at all times when in the Crown Apartments Complex have an identification tag with the pet’s name, owner’s name and contact mobile phone number.
10. Updated documentation relating to the pet must be supplied to the Crown Apartments Site Manager as soon as it is available for inclusion on the building pet register.
11. Animal waste and litter must be regularly monitored for smell and is to be disposed of in a sealed plastic bag to minimise odour and contamination.
12. Pet Litter trays must not be left on balconies so that smells can annoy other residents.
13. Pets must not be left on balconies unattended.
14. The Crown Apartments has a 3-warning policy for minor offences. After three written warnings for minor breaches or a major breach, the pet may be required to leave Crown apartments within a specified notice period.
15. If a visiting pet, the named pet must vacate the Crown Apartments on or by the departure date unless further written approval is given.
Please note that additional conditions/restrictions may be implemented by the Crown Apartments Body Corporate Committee if approval is given.
